You're looking at a Kipor Sinemaster 2000 Ti used portable Generator. It’s been (ab)used for 4 years on an overland trip through Asia and the Middle-East.
And it still runs well, no need for a replacement or any big time maintenance yet.
It was bought new on Amazon and delivered by UPS within 1 week.

Would there be another Kipor again? For the same trip, probably yes. If used on a daily basis probably not. This Kipor portable generator model does well when used occasionally, say a few times a month. For daily use the Kipor generator design simply needs more engineering.

The Kipor Sinemaster Ti2000 had the worst seat on the journey – far in the back of the truck in an outside box. It’s pretty shock proof – it took the worst beating one can imagine. The roads in India are the worst – less traveled roads are a continuous speed bumper experience. Though the Kipor likes to be stored at above zero degrees, the Kipor fuel pump doesn’t like the cold and started leaking after –5 Celsius in Iran.

The Kipor Ti2000 is not for those who know nothing about generators or combustion engines in general. For one, the manual is written in mechanic style. Secondly, for solving no-starts the manual was no good anyway. Though most of the no-starts could have been easily prevented by a few lines in the manual.
On a journey like this, parts availability is a non-issue – there are simply no Kipor parts. Though designed as a Honda eu2000i look-a-like, the Kipor engineers have been copying a bit too much. Like the fuel pump can be replaced by the much cheaper and better quality Honda version.

The Kipor generator does deliver the electrical power it’s designed for. Though the electrical design has it’s rough edges. Running dry on full throttle is a messy electrical experience. It managed to fry a battery charger on full load. Again a better electrical design could have prevented this.

For the money, the Kipor has proven worth it – when compared to the much more expensive Honda eu2000i. Most likely the Kipor Ti2000 will last a few years more under the same conditions – the experience over the past 4 years overland makes all the difference.
